A journey through history & cultures initiates the latest creations from Carrera y Carrera | ||||
Renowned Spanish jeweller Carrera y Carrera
creative team’s voyage south brought with it sounds. smells.
and impressions: the magnitude of the Alhambra gardens.
the orange trees of the Mezquita (Mosque) courtyards with
their intoxicating scent of orange blossoms, the murmur of
the fountaina. the reflection of colors from Moorish tiles in
lhe sun. All of these elements return to find expression in
gold and diamonds for the new collection from Carrera y
Carrera. This collection was born from looking south towards a fusion of cultures flooded with tight and shadow. mystery and fantasy. The silence and stillness within the thick walls of these palaces invited reflection and inspiration. A voyage through time, history and the imagination ended up in sketches on paper when it was time to create a jewel. |

Just as the sun bathes each wall of the Nazari Palace, leaving its reflection on the colorful tiles of the fountains,
so shine the diamonds of the pieces in the “Palacios del Sur" collection. These precious stones are an allegory of
the fountains and streams that run throughout the Alhambra
and the Mezquita and adorn the palace of seville.
Cordoba is born of silence. of the hushed whisper
of centuries of history. lt ernerges from embossed walls,
from filigrees and impossible vegetable forms. A Cordoba
full of secrets that flow between the light beams of lattices
gives life to the dimensions of the Cordoba ring. |

Brazil is a place of incredible and uniquely precious "beauties." lt is the only country where minerals and gems exist in all the colours of the rainbow. Rainbows have always symbolized the alliance between heaven and earth. ln the ancient world it meant that (Arco) Iris, bearer of the gods. had delivered a message to mankind. The gemstones presented themselves at this exclusive show in a sheer magical atmosphere: Precious emeralds glowed hopefully in green. rubellites gleamed red like sumptuous blood, brasilianties burned yellow like the sun, garnets glowed intensely orange, aquamarines shone promisingly blue like the sky and the seven oceans, amethysts wore purple, and the paraibas own the colour indigo. |
