:: CHANNEL SETTING ::
Channel setting are used to set smaller stone(round, square, baguette & tapered ) in a row. A channel is cut into the piece of jewelry and connected below with a bridge, after each stone or on few point only for support of the seperated parts.
The bridge below should not be seen from the stones above. Below the top surface, a groove is frased on both side along the channel, where the stones can rest.

The stones are slide in and the edge of the top surface of metal is pushed towards, the top crownfacets. When the stones are secure, the edge is cleaned with a burnisher. The stone have to be cut nice (table corner parallel to girdle) and nice quality should be used from the same color and tone.
